TV Guide\u2019s Matt Roush says he had to sift through an embarrassment of riches of shows that he watched online or on TV this year. Many of the episodes are done almost in a single take, and Roush said it\u2019s \u201cone of the strongest things Netflix gave us all year.\u201d<\/p>\n 4. \u201cSaturday Night Live 50th Anniversary Special\u201d on NBC:<\/strong><\/a> SNL stars past and present gathered in February to mark the iconic late-night\u2019s show\u2019s half-century milestone.<\/p>\n 3. \u201cAlien: Earth\u201d on FX:<\/strong><\/a> Roush calls this a \u201csmart, scary and impressively epic reimagining of the sci-fi horror franchise.\u201d<\/p>\n 2. \u201cThe Studio\u201d on Apple TV:<\/a><\/strong> Roush said the \u201cHollyweird in Seth Rogen\u2019s rollicking and masterful satire\u201d is apropos of modern-day corporate film-making.
