Manchester United may be about to be handed a welcome financial windfall owing to a big-money transfer that looks set to be completed elsewhere in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

United will be hoping to strengthen their squad with more new signings between now and September 1 deadline. Matheus Cunha<\/a> remains the only new addition so far, but Ruben Amorim<\/a> and United are still looking to the market for further reinforcements over the next few weeks.<\/p>\n

Away from Old Trafford<\/a> there are other swoops taking place in the rest of the Premier League<\/a>. One deal concerns former United star Anthony Elanga<\/a>, who looks set to join a new club.<\/p>\n

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Newcastle have now agreed a deal to snap-up Elanga from Nottingham Forest, with a fee thought to be worth around \u00a355million. If a deal does get completed, then it would see United receive a financial boost<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Elanga left United to join Forest in the summer of 2023 for \u00a315million. The deal also saw United include a sell-on clause worth 20 per cent on any profit that is made from any future switch – which will now see the club receive several millions of pounds to help boost their transfer kitty.<\/p>\n

If an agreement for Elanga to join Newcastle does get completed – for the aforementioned price – it would see United receive \u00a38million owing to the \u00a340million profit that Forest would get from the transfer.<\/p>\n

An extra \u00a38million could go a long way to helping United fund their own transfers – particularly the push to sign Mbeumo. United have had two offers rejected by the Bees for the Cameroon international, with the latter being more than \u00a360million.<\/p>\n

There is still confidence from United that they can complete a deal to sign Mbeumo this summer<\/a>, despite their second bid falling below Brentford’s valuation of the forward.<\/p>\n
