In an Instagram post at the time, Keleigh explained: \u201cIf you\u2019re in the LA area PLEASE get out if you can. I wish I grabbed my wedding dress … Wish I did a lot different but it doesn\u2019t matter, stay safe, get out. There are no words … THANK YOU to the first responders fighting. (sic)\u201d<\/p>\n
She later added: \u201cTo everyone reaching out I can\u2019t thank you enough, your kind hearts have meant the world, I\u2019ll never forget them.<\/p>\n
\u201cCommunity has come out stronger than I could imagine, Pacific Palisades I love you beyond measure; you are a little slice of heaven, we will come back stronger than ever. (sic)\u201d<\/p>\n
Miles later revealed that he and Keleigh took \u201cvery little\u201d keepsakes \u2013 including his late grandfather\u2019s watch \u2013 while they were evacuating.<\/p>\n
Appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in February, the Eternity actor said: \u201c[My wife and I] never thought [the fire] was going to come where we were, it\u2019s very residential. We weren\u2019t surrounded by any brush or anything.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cFire is scary. I grew up on the East Coast, and hurricanes, a lot of the time, in Florida, usually a lot of the time, they\u2019re kind of scaring you for like a week. You have a heads up. But the fire, man, it moved fast.\u201d<\/p>\n
Miles and Keleigh Teller were also grateful for all the help that was offered to them amid the California wildfires \u2013 which devastated thousands of homes and businesses in Los Angeles and killed hundreds of people.<\/p>\n
And this included fans sending him T-shirts featuring his favourite band, Grateful Dead.<\/p>\n
In February, Miles told E! News: \u201cMany people have reached out, just either letting us know that they\u2019re there emotionally, or people are offering us their place.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m a Deadhead [Grateful Dead fan], and so I\u2019ve had a lot of people reach out to Keleigh like: \u2018I want to send Miles a Grateful Dead shirt\u2019.<\/p>\n
\u201cLittle stuff just means a lot, so it\u2019s been very heartwarming.\u201d<\/p>\n
