The current EastEnders<\/a> boss Ben Wadey has teased what lies ahead for Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) in 2026.<\/p>\n

The character has had a whirlwind of a year at the centre of several huge storylines.<\/p>\n

Daughter Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) fell pregnant<\/a> with vile abuser Joel Marshall’s (Max Murray) baby, before there was a love triangle with Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), and a huge drugs plot<\/a> that is still ongoing.<\/p>\n

Strapped for cash, Ravi turned to Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) to supply him with details of a dealer, and he began pushing narcotics around Walford.<\/p>\n

Ravi became entwined in a drug operation involving the late Tobias “Okie” Okyere (left).\u00a0BBC<\/p>\n

For Nic’s son Harry (Elijah Holloway), this had devastating consequences. He’d been asked to store Ravi’s drugs in The Arches, but when best pal Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) found them, he flushed them down the toilet.<\/p>\n

The two men were then forced to deal for Ravi, and in his absence, cruel Tobias “Okie” Okyere (Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu) took control of the operation and held Harry hostage. During this time, Harry became dependent on the drugs that Okie was feeding him.<\/p>\n

In the aftermath, Okie was killed<\/a>, and Ravi escaped the repercussions by agreeing to be an informant for the police.<\/p>\n

Speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/a> and other media at a recent press screening, Ben Wadey revealed that the consequences of Ravi’s actions will weigh heavily on his mental health.<\/p>\n

“We’ve got a big story for Ravi going forward as he faces the consequences of his actions and all the awful things that he did in the previous few months, and what that starts to do to his psyche and his family,” he explained.<\/p>\n

However, this won’t just mean big scenes for Ravi – but also big material for Harry Mitchell too.<\/p>\n

“[There’s] a revenge plot from Harry Mitchell, which kicks us off early in the New Year,” teased Wadey.<\/p>\n
