{"id":477260,"date":"2025-12-29T09:12:09","date_gmt":"2025-12-29T09:12:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/477260\/"},"modified":"2025-12-29T09:12:09","modified_gmt":"2025-12-29T09:12:09","slug":"family-mourns-edward-fatso-trejo-seeks-justice-after-fatal-shooting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/477260\/","title":{"rendered":"Family mourns Edward &#8220;Fatso&#8221; Trejo, seeks justice after fatal shooting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SAN ANTONIO &#8211; The family of Edward &#8220;Fatso&#8221; Trejo gathered in tears on Sunday, joined by more than 100 people at Louie&#8217;s Icehouse for a balloon release to honor the 29-year-old friend, brother, and son. <\/p>\n<p>Trejo was killed in the early morning of Dec. 21 outside a Christmas party on Cincinnatti Ave. <\/p>\n<p>Investigators report that 41-year-old Paul Flores approached from another street to address a noise complaint. A verbal altercation escalated into a physical confrontation, during which Flores allegedly shot Trejo multiple times.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Trejo&#8217;s sister recalled, &#8220;My parents were struggling at the time, so he had to go get a job. He quit, like with all his other stuff, just to get a job so that we could succeed.&#8221; His brother added, &#8220;So we could play our sports, and I could play football, Army, so she could be playing softball. He did a lot for us.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Their mother questioned Flores&#8217; actions, saying, &#8220;Why would you knock on that door? Why didn&#8217;t you just call the police? Why wouldn&#8217;t you just wait? He went with intent.
