An enraged Bronx man was charged with murder after allegedly bashing his longtime partner in the head with a kitchen pot and smothering her with a pillow in their apartment Monday morning, police and sources said. <\/p>\n
Jeffrey Kolin, 73, called 911 after the vicious attack on his 77-year-old companion at their apartment on Barnes Avenue and allegedly confessed to the crime, law enforcement sources said.<\/p>\n
The NYPD received the call just before 7:30 a.m. and when officers arrived at the couple\u2019s apartment they found Marsha Greenberg, unconscious and unresponsive.<\/p>\n

She had suffered trauma to her head, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Paramedics rushed Greenberg to Jacobi Hospital, but she was pronounced dead upon arrival.<\/p>\n

Greenberg and Kolin had been in a rocky relationship for at least two decades, law enforcement sources said. <\/p>\n
They had a history of domestic incidents dating back to 2005, with the most recent report taken by the NYPD on June 25, law enforcement sources said.<\/p>\n
