With more hoods in the new building, she can take her time with experiments and projects. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">\u201cIt really makes me feel seen,\u201d said Cadena, a first-generation student. \u201cIt\u2019s another resource that I can utilize to help me get to my finish line.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">After physician assistant school, Cadena wants to return to Oak Cliff. Royce West, D-Dallas, who helped establish the university, said he wants the school to grow to 30,000 students and become one of the largest employers in Dallas. Von Eschenbach wants more dorms, a basketball arena and a business school building. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">\u201cThe future growth in Dallas \u2014 a lot of it is going to be centered around UNT Dallas,\u201d said Peter Brodsky, CEO of the Shops at Redbird in southern Dallas. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Multiple developers have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/business\/real-estate\/2025\/05\/12\/dream-big-hoque-global-starts-work-on-billion-dollar-university-hills-development\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">planned large-scale projects near the campus<\/a> that will bring single-family homes, apartments and retail in the next few years. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">\u201cYou\u2019re getting thousands of people to congregate in one place, and they all get hungry at lunch time,\u201d said Brodsky. \u201cPeople start to want to live there.
