He died at a hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Jennifer Levi, his mother, was at a Monday morning news conference when Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman announced charges of murder and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. The charges were filed last week, Hochman said. <\/p>\n<p>The standout tennis player at the school in LA&#8217;s Pico Union area was just weeks from graduating.<\/p>\n<p>Braun was a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbclosangeles.com\/news\/local\/memorial-set-for-loyola-high-school-tennis-star-killed-by-alleged-dui-driver\/3698274\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">nationally ranked tennis player<\/a> who was bound for the University of Virginia.
