The City of Dallas is collecting used Christmas trees ahead of the close of the holiday season.<\/p>\n

Until Jan 24, City of Dallas<\/a> residents can drop off used, undecorated Christmas trees at four sanitation department sites<\/a>, including the Northeast Transfer Station in Lake Highlands. Neighbors can also leave their trees out for regularly scheduled brush and bulky item collection.<\/p>\n

For brush and bulky trash pickup, residents must place trees on the curb by 7:00 a.m. the Monday of pickup week. Trees must be natural and stripped of garlands, ornaments, lights and any other decorations.\u00a0<\/p>\n

To get rid of trees at the Fair Oaks Transfer Station or any other permitted dumping sites, neighbors must have a valid driver\u2019s license and proof of residency, which can be shown with a Dallas Water Utilities Bill or the address on their ID. Again, trees must be natural and undecorated.\u00a0<\/p>\n
