{"id":480478,"date":"2025-12-30T17:11:19","date_gmt":"2025-12-30T17:11:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/480478\/"},"modified":"2025-12-30T17:11:19","modified_gmt":"2025-12-30T17:11:19","slug":"new-legislation-would-require-n-y-schools-to-teach-students-about-jan-6-insurrection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/480478\/","title":{"rendered":"New legislation would require N.Y. schools to teach students about Jan. 6 insurrection"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">NEW YORK (WBNG) &#8212; New legislation would require schools to teach students about the January 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to the New York State Senate, the legislation will amend the Education Law to include instruction about the Jan. 6 insurrection as part of the state\u2019s required courses regarding patriotism, citizenship, civic education and values, shared history of diversity, religious tolerance and human rights issues. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The legislation, proposed by John C.
