{"id":481269,"date":"2025-12-31T01:15:23","date_gmt":"2025-12-31T01:15:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/481269\/"},"modified":"2025-12-31T01:15:23","modified_gmt":"2025-12-31T01:15:23","slug":"the-year-in-pictures-captured-by-adn-photographers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/481269\/","title":{"rendered":"The year in pictures, captured by ADN photographers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph sans-serif\">In 2025, Alaskans again bore witness to history \u2014 a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adn.com\/alaska-news\/rural-alaska\/2025\/10\/16\/how-were-going-to-live-western-alaska-residents-airlifted-to-anchorage-face-uncertainty\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.adn.com\/alaska-news\/rural-alaska\/2025\/10\/16\/how-were-going-to-live-western-alaska-residents-airlifted-to-anchorage-face-uncertainty\/\">devastating storm<\/a>, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adn.com\/politics\/2025\/08\/15\/all-eyes-are-on-anchorage-as-trump-putin-talks-begin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.adn.com\/politics\/2025\/08\/15\/all-eyes-are-on-anchorage-as-trump-putin-talks-begin\/\">presidential summit<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adn.com\/alaska-life\/2025\/06\/21\/in-a-historic-canonization-the-mother-of-the-kuskokwim-becomes-an-orthodox-saint\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.adn.com\/alaska-life\/2025\/06\/21\/in-a-historic-canonization-the-mother-of-the-kuskokwim-becomes-an-orthodox-saint\/\">canonization of a saint<\/a>. We also danced and competed, prayed and protested, and showed up for work, school and our communities. Through every season, we savored the state\u2019s wilderness and the wildlife that lives there.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sans-serif\">Daily News journalists photographed Alaska and Alaskans through it all.
