Authorities on Tuesday asked for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of a sexual assault reported earlier this month in the city of Industry.<\/p>\n
The assault occurred in the morning hours of Dec. 10 in the 1600 block of Azusa Avenue at Colima Road, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.<\/p>\n
The suspect was described as a transient white man in his 30s with black hair. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket and gray sweatpants and is believed to have visited the Covina and La Puente areas, according to sheriff’s officials.<\/p>\n
Investigators said he was last seen riding a Foothill Transit bus in those communities, prompting the release of a surveillance image in hopes of identifying him.<\/p>\n
Details of the alleged assault were not immediately released as the investigation remained ongoing Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n
“The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department-Special Victims Bureau is tasked with investigating the sexual and physical abuse of children and felonious sexual assaults involving adult victims,” according to the sheriff’s department.<\/p>\n
