California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) torched President Donald Trump and one of his most staunch loyalists, Kid Rock, after the musician shared a photo of himself during an outing with the world leader. <\/p>\n
Newsom\u2019s dig came after the rockstar, 54, posted a black-and-white photo<\/a> of himself smiling and sitting beside Trump, 79, in a golf cart on X on Monday. <\/p>\n Kid Rock, born Robert James Ritchie, captioned the post, \u201cGolfed with your favorite President again recently and he played me a live version of James Brown and Pavirotti performing \u2018This is a Mans World.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n He added, \u201cCan\u2019t believe I have never heard this. Incredible!\u201d <\/p>\n The Daily Beast reported<\/a> that the rocker initially misspelled both the title of the song and the tenor\u2019s surname in his post. <\/p>\n In response to Kid Rock\u2019s post, Newsom\u2019s Press Office account reposted<\/a> the songwriter\u2019s picture on Monday with the caption, \u201cCute couple.\u201d <\/p>\n HuffPost has reached out to Newsom\u2019s office and the White House for comment. <\/p>\n Newsom has repeatedly trolled Trump and his MAGA supporters amid their ongoing feud, with both politicians taking public jabs at each other.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Kid Rock has remained one of Trump\u2019s most fervent supporters, even performing at the president\u2019s rallies and defending Trump\u2019s controversial policies, despite ongoing division within the MAGA base<\/a>.<\/p>\n Earlier this month, Newsom mocked Trump over his false claims<\/a> that he would\u2019ve won California in the 2024 presidential election if he hadn\u2019t been cheated by the Democratic Party<\/a>. Trump made the comment at a White House Christmas reception.<\/p>\n
