NEW YORK (AP) \u2014 English actors<\/a> Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton have welcomed their second child.<\/p>\n

Hiddleston confirmed the news to GQ in a feature published Monday. He described birth as the \u201cmost beautiful, profound, earth-shattering, life-altering\u201d experience. He did not share his child\u2019s birthday, but according to the feature, the interview took place in early December, and the birth was \u201cjust the other day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hiddleston, 44, and Ashton, 41,<\/a> first met while starring in a 2019 revival of the play \u201cBetrayal.\u201d They confirmed their engagement in 2022 and welcomed their first child later that year.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecoming a father is the most important and meaningful thing that\u2019s ever happened to me, and the most important thing I will ever do,\u201d Hiddleston told The Associated Press<\/a> earlier this year. <\/p>\n

Both Hiddleston and Ashton were born in London. Hiddleston is best known for his portrayal of Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU),<\/a> beginning with the 2011 blockbuster \u201cThor\u201d<\/a> and continuing in the Disney+ series, \u201cLoki.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

Ashton is also a member of the MCU, having portrayed Dar-Benn in the 2023 film \u201cThe Marvels.\u201d She\u2019s also known for roles in \u201cFresh Meat,\u201d \u201cNot Safe for Work,\u201d Netflix\u2019s \u201cVelvet Buzzsaw\u201d<\/a> and other projects.<\/p>\n
