When the pine needles on your Christmas tree start to dry out, it\u2019s time to recycle it. Christmas trees can be recycled curbside in your green recycle bins on collection days or brought to drop-off sites throughout San Diego County.<\/p>\n
The San Diego County Christmas Tree Recycling Program turns recycled Christmas trees into compost, wood chips and mulch products for residents and business owners to buy year-round. City residents can get up to two cubic yards of compost and mulch for free at the Miramar Greenery, according to the county\u2019s website, www.sandiego.gov\/environmental-services\/recycling\/events\/christmas<\/a>.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s a guide on where to recycle your tree after the holidays. Christmas trees placed next to organic containers will not be serviced. Both green and flocked trees with fake snow are accepted for recycling, but not artificial trees.
