Molina High School, the camp comes at a pivotal moment as she prepares to take on her new role as varsity cheer captain. After transitioning from cross-country to cheerleading her sophomore year, Gema said the sport has helped her grow more confident and connected.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cComing from being a girl who was feeling unnoticed, to my senior year, I feel unstoppable,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Her advice to cheerleaders starting out in the new school year is to be fearless and persevere.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would say don\u2019t be scared, and just because someone else can do something better than you doesn\u2019t mean you can\u2019t do it. You can do everything you set your mind to, \u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Landry T., a senior and varsity captain at Hillcrest High School, joined camp to connect with new teammates and pass on lessons learned since freshman year.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wpa-warning wpa-image-missing-alt alignleft wp-image-74581 size-medium lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/IMG_1904-scaled-e1751914857330-247x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"247\" height=\"300\" data-warning=\"Missing alt text\"  data- style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 247px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 247\/300;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thought camp would be a fun way to bond with all of our new cheerleaders and learn new stunts and skills,\u201d she said. \u201cWe\u2019ve done a lot of team bonding that I\u2019ve picked up on, and I\u2019m hoping to carry that out into my senior year as captain to make sure we\u2019re all close because I think that\u2019s really important as a team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>From morning warm ups and group dances to team activities, like meaningful bead bracelets, the camp offered a blend of training and unity.
