As we continue to track the aftermath from the devastating flooding in the Texas Hill Country<\/a>, we\u2019re also keeping an eye on the storm chances increasing in our viewing area. <\/p>\n

Tuesday Rain Chances Continue:<\/b><\/p>\n

Thunderstorms and rain are expected to continue into Tuesday morning and could stick around through Wednesday. <\/p>\n

The first real break in the wet weather pattern is forecast for Thursday. Temperatures are likely to stay in the 90s, so it\u2019s not just wet\u2014it\u2019s sticky out there<\/p>\n

While Tuesday\u2019s storms aren\u2019t expected to reach the intensity of recent deadly flooding events, caution is advised as downpours move through.<\/p>\n

Monday afternoon storms and showers are widely scattered, with the chance for heavy downpours. Monday night showers begin to focus west of Houston.<\/p>\n

Tracking the tropics:<\/b><\/p>\n

Post Tropical Chantel will continue to bring flash flood concerns for portions of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Chantel is bringing heavy rain and rip current risks to the Carolinas and Virgina. <\/p>\n

Remember, the Atlantic hurricane season lasts through November. Here in SE Texas, we see the tropical season peak in September, but we can see a storm anytime from now through the fall. Last year, Hurricane Beryl made landfall early in the morning on July 8th.<\/p>\n
