JACKSONVILLE, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 Four people, including two teens, were shot in Jacksonville as New Year\u2019s celebrations were underway Wednesday night into early Thursday morning.<\/p>\n

Those were the result of three separate shootings spread across the Jacksonville area.<\/p>\n

That includes a shooting near Friendship Fountain.<\/p>\n

JSO said it heard the gunshots because officers were working security at last night\u2019s fireworks display Downtown.<\/p>\n

All of these shootings happened within two hours of each other. But we know that all four victims are expected to survive. <\/p>\n

One shooting happened at around 12:30 a.m. near Friendship Fountain.<\/p>\n

JSO off-duty officers working the New Year\u2019s Eve celebration and heard multiple gunshots near the Fountain. <\/p>\n

They found two teenagers, a 14 and 17-year-old, both shot at least once, but they\u2019re expected to recover.<\/p>\n

A 19-year-old suspect was detained and interviewed.<\/p>\n

But JSO did say it\u2019s possibly gang-related.<\/p>\n

\u201cGun violence is horrific. It eats away at society, erodes freedom. But you know the robbery\/violent crimes detectives are out there doing a fantastic job and they should bring these individuals to justice,\u201d said Sgt. Frederick Dash with JSO\u2019s Robbery and Violent Crimes division.<\/p>\n

There were also two other incidents overnight.<\/p>\n

A man in his 20s was shot in the right calf and broke his leg after walking past a group setting off fireworks on Westchase Court.<\/p>\n

An argument started, and the suspect fired more than 10 shots at him, police said. Police describe the suspect as about 6 feet 2, wearing a yellow shirt and white and pink shoes, and in his late 20s.<\/p>\n

On Barnes Road, JSO found a male victim in his late teens at the hospital, who was shot at while walking with friends, possibly watching fireworks. <\/p>\n

The suspect fired over five shots, but no one has been identified yet, JSO said.<\/p>\n
