Lamar Jackson is back on the practice field Thursday, adding more reason to believe he will start Sunday’s AFC North title game in Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n
Jackson was a full participant on Wednesday and is on track to have his first full week of practice since early November.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, Head Coach John Harbaugh said Jackson looked good at practice and he was “very optimistic” about Jackson’s chances of playing Sunday night.<\/p>\n
“It felt great out there today; just going through the offense, making plays, making the right reads,” tight end Mark Andrews said. “It was a great workday, and it was awesome to have [Jackson] out there.”<\/p>\n
Two key starters, wide receiver Rashod Bateman and outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy, are not practicing for a second straight day. Bateman is dealing with an illness and Van Noy has a quad injury.<\/p>\n
In Steelers news, it continues to sound more likely than not that star outside linebacker T.J. Watt will return to the field after missing the past three weeks due to a partially collapsed lung. However, it remains to be seen how many snaps Watt can take.
