That main campus is <a href=\"https:\/\/njbiz.com\/cooper-health-groundbreaking-marks-milestone-in-camdens-renaissance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">now undergoing a $3 billion expansion<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Cape Regional Health System <a href=\"https:\/\/njbiz.com\/cape-regional-officially-joins-cooper-university-health-care\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">merged with Cooper Health in July 2024<\/a>.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>Cooper leadership said the approval for the Thomas &amp; Claire Brodesser Jr. Cancer Center means residents have access to advanced <a href=\"https:\/\/njbiz.com\/tag\/cancer\/\" class=\"st_tag internal_tag \" rel=\"tag noopener\" title=\"Posts tagged with Cancer Care\" target=\"_blank\">cancer care<\/a> closer to home.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen we announced that Cape Regional was joining <a href=\"https:\/\/njbiz.com\/tag\/cooper-university-health-care\/\" class=\"st_tag internal_tag \" rel=\"tag noopener\" title=\"Posts tagged with Cooper University Health Care\" target=\"_blank\">Cooper University Health Care<\/a>, we made a promise to Jersey Shore communities that we would bring advanced, specialty care to the region,\u201d George Norcross III, chairman of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cooperhealth.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cooper Health<\/a>\u2018s board of trustees, said in a statement. \u201cToday\u2019s announcement is the first of many steps toward fulfilling that promise.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Cooper co-CEOs Dr. Anthony Mazzarelli and Kevin O\u2019Dowd echoed those sentiments. The leaders said the oncology center brings \u201cevidenced-based care, compassionate multidisciplinary teamwork, and innovation to more patients in Cape May and Atlantic counties.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>Ron Jaworski, <a href=\"https:\/\/njbiz.com\/cooper-healths-red-hot-gala-raises-nearly-4m-photos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NFL legend and chairman<\/a> of the Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional Board of Trustees, called the center \u201ca game-changer for residents at the shore.\u201d\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>The big reveal:<\/p>\n<p>In March,\u00a0MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper also <a href=\"https:\/\/njbiz.com\/radiation-oncology-suite-opens-at-coopers-moorestown-campus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">opened a state-of-the-art radiation oncology suite<\/a> at the Cooper University Health Care Moorestown campus. The debut marked the health system\u2019s fifth such center in South Jersey at the time.\n<\/p>\n<p>Continued support\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The news of the radiation oncology site followed Cooper Health announcements regarding two generous <a href=\"https:\/\/njbiz.com\/tag\/donations\/\" class=\"st_tag internal_tag \" rel=\"tag noopener\" title=\"Posts tagged with Donations\" target=\"_blank\">donations<\/a> to its foundation.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>Funding cancer research\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On June 30, <a href=\"https:\/\/njbiz.com\/tag\/the-cooper-foundation\/\" class=\"st_tag internal_tag \" rel=\"tag noopener\" title=\"Posts tagged with The Cooper Foundation\" target=\"_blank\">The Cooper Foundation<\/a> unveiled a $70,000 gift from the Barbara T. Ferraro Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. The funds will support ovarian cancer research at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>It marks the third gift from the\u00a0Ferraro\u00a0Foundation in support of the center\u2019s work, <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/news\/2025\/06\/hope-for-ovarian-cancer-patients-the-cooper-foundation-receives-70000-donation-from-barbara-t-ferraro-foundation-bringing-total-contribution-to-170000\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bringing the total to\u00a0$170,000<\/a>.\u00a0<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-516026\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=\" http:=\"\" alt=\"The Cooper Foundation received a $70,000 donation from the Barbara T. Foundation was established in memory of Jay Ferraro\u2019s late wife, Barbara, who fought the disease for six years.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>Driven to give back\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Also last week, the Cooper Foundation received a $30,000 donation from Subaru. The contribution came as part of the automaker\u2019s Subaru Loves to Care initiative.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>The funding supports patients in Camden with medical equipment often not covered by insurance, such as blood pressure monitors, glucometers, scales, wheelchairs, walkers as well as canes.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>This marks <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/news\/2025\/07\/subaru-loves-to-care-initiative-donation-of-30000-to-the-cooper-foundation-will-help-camden-based-patients-for-fourth-year-in-a-row\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the fourth-consecutive year<\/a> Subaru has provided the funding.\u00a0<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-516028\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=\" http:=\"\" alt=\"Subaru of America Inc. donated $30,000 to The Cooper Foundation\" width=\"875\" height=\"535\" data-lazy- data-lazy- data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Cooper_subaru-check-presentation-2-2025.jpg\"\/>Subaru of America Inc. donated $30,000 to The Cooper Foundation as part of the automaker\u2019s Subaru Loves to Care initiative.
