HOUSTON \u2014 Loft18<\/a>, a golf-themed sports bar and restaurant in the Sawyer Yards area, is closing its Houston location but says it plans to return to the Bayou City in a new spot that better fits its business model.<\/p>\n The company announced the closure of its site at 2313 Edwards St., effective Jan. 1, 2026, calling it a difficult decision made after \u201ccareful consideration,\u201d including rising market costs and increased crime in the area.<\/p>\n Leaders said stepping away from the current space will allow the brand to regroup, reflect, and scout other areas around Greater Houston, such as Katy, The Woodlands and Sugar Land, as part of a broader Gulf Coast expansion.<\/p>\n Loft18 emphasized that the brand itself is not going away.
