\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe cities of Northeast San Antonio offer options for residents who want to dispose of their Christmas trees after the holiday season.<\/p>\n
What you need to know<\/strong><\/p>\n In Schertz<\/strong>, Frontier Waste Solutions<\/a> will collect trees set outside by the curb on scheduled brush and bulk pickup days. According to<\/a> Fire Prevention Specialist Jacob Amerson, trees must follow Frontier\u2019s brush and bulk guidelines<\/a>.<\/p>\n According to Frontier, limbs cannot exceed 4 feet in length or 4 inches in diameter. Limbs greater than 4 inches in diameter should be cut into smaller lengths to limit their weight. Limbs must be tied into bundles with string or twine. Brush and bulk is limited to 3 cubic yards per collection.<\/p>\n Cibolo<\/a><\/strong> residents may place their trees at the curb alongside regular bulk and brush items for pickup by Waste Connections<\/a> on regularly scheduled collection days. According to the city, service scheduled for Jan. 1 will take place Jan. 2, and Jan. 2 service will take place on Jan. 3.<\/p>\n Trees in Universal City<\/strong> can be dropped off in a bin at the Public Works Yard at 265 Kitty Hawk Road through Jan. 9. The city will not accept trees with lights or decorations still on them, City Manager Kim Turner said.<\/p>\n Live Oak\u2019s<\/strong> annual tree drop-off<\/a> will run through Feb. 2 across from the Live Oak Clubhouse and Municipal Pool at 7901 Shin Oak Drive. Only real trees will be accepted with no metal, lights, tinsel, ornaments or decorations.<\/p>\n The city\u2019s public works staff will be mulching the trees throughout January, with mulch available to the public during that time, according to a Facebook post<\/a> from the city.<\/p>\n Public works staff in Selma<\/strong> will be picking up trees from Jan. 5 through Jan. 9 as part of the monthly chipping service. Trees should be placed at the curb as early as possible during the week, and should have any lights or ornaments removed.<\/p>\n
