Doug Wilson was named \u201cCivilian Employee of the Year.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to the SFD, Wilson is \u201ca dedicated professional whose expertise, reliability, and unwavering commitment have made a profound impact on the Scottsdale Fire Department.<\/p>\n
He is a fire protection engineer who \u201chas been instrumental in the development and implementation of the new EPL\/SPUR system, a project that has spanned over a year and a half.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cDespite managing an extraordinary workload\u2014reviewing an average of 300 fire plans per month while covering for a vacant position\u2014Doug has remained a consistent and invaluable presence throughout this critical transition.\u201d<\/p>\n
Wilson was praised for his \u201ccollaborative spirit, attention to detail, and deep understanding of fire code and protocol have ensured that the new system is built on a foundation of accuracy, efficiency, and compliance \u2026 and a shining example of what it means to serve with integrity and purpose.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rey Igliane took home the honor of \u201cFirefighter\/Engineer of the Year.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cHis unwavering commitment to excellence, mentorship, and integrity has left a lasting impact on both his colleagues and the community he serves,\u201d the department said of Igliane.<\/p>\n
He is a senior firefighter who \u201chas taken every opportunity to teach, encourage, and uplift others, modeling the importance of attention to detail, a positive attitude and personal accountability.\u201d<\/p>\n
Igliane received praise for \u201chis selfless leadership and eagerness to serve are evident in every drill, every call, and every moment spent supporting his team.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tony Lombardi received the Eddie Loggins Lifetime Achievement Award, which is \u201creserved for individuals whose careers have been defined by unwavering dedication, visionary leadership, and a legacy of service that transcends time.\u201d<\/p>\n
