The real-life son of the character played by Hugh Jackman<\/a> and Kate Hudson in the film Song Sung Blue called the actors \u201cmonsters\u201d and criticised the film for what he calls \u201clies\u201d.<\/p>\n

The romantic drama stars Jackman and Hudson as Mike and Claire Sardina, who performed as the Neil Diamond<\/a> tribute band Lightning & Thunder and became noted for being booked alongside popular acts such as Pearl Jam<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Although Mike passed away in 2006, Claire has given her full backing to the movie. However, in a new interview with the Daily Mail (via People<\/a>), the couple\u2019s son, Michael Sardina Jr., said his father would be \u201crolling in his grave\u201d over his portrayal.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverybody thinks it\u2019s such a wonderful film, it\u2019s so touching. It\u2019s all lies,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd it steals all the hard work that my father put in his entire life.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

He also alleges he was \u201cpurposely cut out of the film\u201d despite claiming to be paid to be a consultant on the project alongside his sister Angelina (who is played by King Princess<\/a> in the movie).<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery interview that those monsters have been on national television don\u2019t even mention my existence at all, even though I was the most prevalent force in my father\u2019s life, even when I wasn\u2019t in Wisconsin, because I\u2019m his only son,\u201d he said. \u201cThey didn\u2019t even try to contact me . . . They didn\u2019t try to get more information\u2026 They could have very easily asked [director] Craig [Brewer].\u201d<\/p>\n

Angelina would tell the outlet: \u201cThe only thing that was true is the love between my dad and Claire. It\u2019s a beautiful story, but that\u2019s not how it went down. And I guess that\u2019s what\u2019s upsetting because it\u2019s a lie.\u201d<\/p>\n

Neither Jackman, Hudson, or the film\u2019s producers have commented on the claims.
Song Sung Blue was released in cinemas on Christmas Day in the US, and New Year\u2019s Day in the UK.<\/p>\n
