A woman was hospitalised with non-life-threatening injuries, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/news\/2025-12-18\/suspicious-house-fire-investigation-clyde-north\/106156202\" data-link-name=\"in body link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the ABC reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/email-newsletters?CMP=copyembed&amp;CMP=emailbutton\" data-link-name=\"in body link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sign up: AU Breaking News email<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">In a statement on Friday, Victoria police said she had been charged after the incident.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">\u201cA 29-year-old woman taken to hospital under police guard has this morning been charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder,\u201d the statement said. Police believe the parties involved are known to each other.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">The woman has been remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne magistrates court on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Police said two other people inside the property at the time, a 43-year-old woman and an 11-year-old girl, were not physically injured during the incident.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">The 46-year-old man remains in hospital in a stable condition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A woman has been charged with murder after a fatal house fire in Melbourne\u2019s south-east last month.
