He shared this week that after five incredible years, he has sold\u00a0Bongiorno &amp; Son, passing along a successful, thriving business to new owners. After their winter break, they will reopen on January 6th with things continuing to operate as normal during the transition (Michael will be around thru January). One thing that will change will be an eventual name change. Keep up with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/bongiornoandson\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bongiorno &amp; Son here<\/a>\u00a0and join us in anticipation for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/pranzoraleigh\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">opening of Pranzo<\/a>!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\tWake County Restaurant News<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As they promised with a Jan. 1 announcement,\u00a0<b>Clyde Cooper\u2019s BBQ<\/b>\u00a0shared that they will move into the current\u00a0Red, Hot &amp; Blue\u00a0space in\u00a0Quail Corners shopping center\u00a0(1326 Millbrook Road) in north Raleigh. The transition will happen quickly, with an anticipated opening in the next week, albeit with a limited menu and take-out options until they can get fully up to speed. With this location, they are also exploring a drive-thru option. A local Japanese restaurant called\u00a0Hibachi 88\u00a0will move into their former space at 327 S. Wilmington St. This will be\u00a0Hibachi 88\u2019s\u00a0seventh location in the Triangle, fourth in Raleigh.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/hibachi88.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Visit them here<\/a>. This comes on the heels of\u00a0Shanahan\u00a0opening\u00a0Peregrine\u00a0(with chef\u00a0Sair Rahman) and\u00a0Capulet Cocktail Club. Opening on\u00a0February 14th, the name is a nod to the classic movie \u201cCitizen Kane\u201d and their bar program will be led by\u00a0Zack Thomas, beverage director at\u00a0Peregrine.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/rosebudraleigh\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Follow along on Instagram here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Up in north Raleigh, got word from reader\u00a0Kevin Badanes\u00a0that a concept called\u00a0<b>TCHE Gaucho\u00a0<\/b>is moving into the former (but never opened)\u00a01865 Steak &amp; Seafood\u00a0spot at\u00a0Triangle Town Center\u00a0(3741 Sumner Blvd.). An open date hasn\u2019t been announced yet, but\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/tchegaucho.usa\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">you can follow along here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Over in Cary, reader\u00a0Kristina Shuford\u00a0shared that the newest location of\u00a0<b>Paul and Jack Bakery\u00a0<\/b>finally opened\u00a0 off Lake Pine Drive (1881 Lake Pine Dr. to be exact). They are in the former spot of\u00a0The Sweetest Things, just down from\u00a0Cape Fear Seafood Company.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.paulandjackbakery.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Visit Paul and Jack Bakery here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>We first told you about this in February of last year, but over in Cary, reader\u00a0Steven Rubin\u00a0shared that there is now signage up for\u00a0<b>Azami Ramen &amp; Sushi<\/b>\u00a0in the former place of\u00a0PDQ\u00a0at 9025 Winston Hill Drive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Got word this week that local restaurateur\u00a0William Beasley\u00a0will bring a new concept to\u00a0MacGregor Village Shopping Center\u00a0in the\u00a0<b>Hangout Bar and Grill<\/b>\u00a0(former\u00a0Tony\u2019s Oyster Bar) spot. Inspired by the rich culinary history of that location,\u00a0Hangout Seafood and Chophouse\u00a0will offer premium seafood, hand-cut steaks, and a full-service dining experience designed to blend classic favorites with a modern, elevated approach. Additionally, the bar will feature a Prohibition-era aesthetic, complete with period-inspired design and ambiance with plans to transform the existing lounge into an intimate speakeasy-style space. Look for them to begin welcoming guests in early January. They have been a New York City institution since 1972 where their dough remains kettle-boiled in New York City water, then baked locally on-site all day, every day.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hhbagels.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">You\u2019d be wise to start getting familiar with them now<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\tClosings<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open since 2011, downtown Raleigh\u2019s<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wral.com\/lifestyles\/food\/beasleys-close-after-14-years-business-dec30-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0Beasley\u2019s Chicken + Honey<\/a>\u00a0announced this week that they will close their doors on South Wilmington Street on\u00a0Sunday, Jan. 25.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>And\u00a0<b>Zest Cafe and Home Art, <\/b>which opened in 1995, has permanently closed.
