(WEAU) &#8211; No injuries are reported following a structure fire in La Crosse.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to a press release from the La Crosse Fire Department, on Jan. 1, 2026, at around 6:52 p.m., the La Crosse Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 700 block of 6th Street South, a mixed-use building with commercial space on the ground floor and residential units above.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The press release says crews arrived to find heavy fire and smoke conditions on the first and second floors of the building. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Fire crews worked to contain the fire and search the building for any trapped or injured victims. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The main body of the fire was brought under control and crews worked to find all hidden fires within the building. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">No injuries were reported from the incident. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The cause of the fire is under investigation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2026 WEAU. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"LA CROSSE, Wis.
