{"id":487693,"date":"2026-01-02T18:48:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-02T18:48:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/487693\/"},"modified":"2026-01-02T18:48:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-02T18:48:09","slug":"woman-sought-in-driving-into-boyfriend-on-new-years-eve","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/487693\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman sought in driving into boyfriend on New Year&#8217;s Eve"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Upper Darby police are asking a woman to turn herself in after allegedly driving into her former boyfriend following an argument New Year\u2019s Eve.<\/p>\n<p>Destenee Green, 23, of the 100 block of North Third Street, Darby, is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person.<\/p>\n<p>According to the criminal complaint filed by Detective Desiree Forlini:<\/p>\n<p>About 3:19 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle in front of the Musa Motors Autobody, 7590 West Chester Pike.<\/p>\n<p>The victim had been walking west on the sidewalk following an argument with his former girlfriend in the parking lot of the nearby Taco Bell when a vehicle came up the sidewalk and struck him, throwing him on the hood then dragging him some distance between the car and a parked tow truck.<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle, a black sedan with darkened windows, then was seen turning east toward Philadelphia.<\/p>\n<p>The victim suffered injuries to the left side of his body and left hand. He later went to a hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The victim told police he had been in the parking lot of the Taco Bell having an argument with Green, who is his former girlfriend.<\/p>\n<p>He struck the windshield of the vehicle with his fist and walked away and then was struck from behind by Green\u2019s Hyundai.<\/p>\n<p>Police spoke to witnesses and obtained surveillance video that showed the black Hyundai Elantra with Pennsylvania registration drive up the sidewalk against the direction of traffic and strike the victim.<\/p>\n<p>The registered vehicle came back to Green and the victim was shown her photo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s her,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDomestic violence is serious, and this is unacceptable,\u201d said Upper Darby Police Superintendent Timothy Bernhardt. \u201cI am sick and tired of seeing senseless acts of domestic violence. It destroys lives and families. Enough is enough. This must stop.
