{"id":487935,"date":"2026-01-02T21:18:13","date_gmt":"2026-01-02T21:18:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/487935\/"},"modified":"2026-01-02T21:18:13","modified_gmt":"2026-01-02T21:18:13","slug":"machete-wielding-suspect-on-the-run-after-injuring-woman-allegedly-groping-another","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/487935\/","title":{"rendered":"Machete-wielding suspect on the run after injuring woman, allegedly groping another"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SAN ANTONIO &#8211; A woman was injured on New Year&#8217;s Day and a suspect remains at large following a violent incident involving a machete and inappropriate groping, San Antonio Police officials said.<\/p>\n<p>Police were called around 7:30 a.m. Thursday at a home off Walzem Road  and Windsor Oaks for a report of a stabbing on Northeast Side. <\/p>\n<p>Officers learned the situation began after a 22-year-old man allegedly groped a female, prompting her to leave the home. <\/p>\n<p>The suspect then reportedly brandished a machete and began &#8220;hacking at the railing of the front porch.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Two men at the scene tried to intervene by throwing rocks, which broke a window, while a 25-year-old woman also attempted to stop him and was cut on the hand by the machete.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect took off and the injured woman was taken to the hospital for treatment. <\/p>\n<p>Witnesses on the scene were reportedly uncooperative with police. <\/p>\n<p>As of Friday afternoon, the suspect is still at large.
