Former New York City Mayor Eric Adams responded to Andy Cohen\u2019s drunken New Years Eve<\/a> rant, accusing the Bravo host of having a drinking problem he needs to address.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy response to @Andy<\/a>: AA,\u201d Adams wrote in a post on X Thursday evening.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnother sloppy drunken rant,\u201d he continued. \u201cIf anyone actually cares about him, they\u2019ll tell him to get help. New Yorkers aren\u2019t laughing with him. They are concerned about him. Public intoxication is a disease. He should seek help. He was safe in Times Square because we did our job. Again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adams concluded: \u201cSeek help. AAA: Andy\u2019s Alcohol Anonymous.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cohen co-hosted CNN\u2019s New Year\u2019s Eve live broadcast Wednesday night alongside Anderson Cooper, tossing back shots at the night\u2019s end to celebrate the arrival of 2026. Just after the ball dropped in Time Square at midnight, Zohran Mamdani was sworn in as New York\u2019s 112th mayor,<\/a> marking the official end to Adams\u2019 tenure as the city\u2019s leader.<\/p>\n

\u201cI gotta say,<\/a> watching the final moments of Mayor Adams\u2019 chaotic \u2014\u201d Cohen said, prompting Cooper to quickly interject, \u201cDon\u2019t. Don\u2019t,\u201d he told him.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe got his pardons,\u201d Cohen<\/a> persisted, this time drawing a response from guest host, \u201cOffice\u201d star and comedian, BJ Novak.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re gonna have to cut you off<\/a>,\u201d he told Cohen.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just wanna say, goodbye Mayor Adams<\/a>,\u201d Cohen continued. \u201cYou got your pardons. Now go off into the sunset. Go dance away. We\u2019ll see you at all the parties. You partied your way through four years, we\u2019ll see you at all the clubs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adams has never actually received a pardon, but that is also because he didn\u2019t need one. The former mayor, accused of a long-standing conspiracy involving illegal campaign contributions, was facing counts including conspiracy, bribery, and wire fraud.
