If you’re looking for your first Prime Video<\/a> binge-watch of 2026, the streaming service <\/a>is home to a ton of great shows to choose from. Like all the best streamers, Amazon <\/a>is always serving up news shows and movies to stream, and if you’re in between series right now, it’s home to some solid watches (both originals and from Prime Video channels).<\/p>\n

If you want to skip the scrolling and kick the new year off by racing through a new show, below, I’ve scrolled through what’s new on Prime Video this January<\/a> and highlighted a handful of recently released series that you might want on your radar, including an ongoing Prime Video original, a popular network series that just came to Prime Video, and more.<\/p>\n

Best shows to stream on Prime Video this weekend‘Chicago P.D.’ <\/p>\n

Yes, I know it’d be physically impossible to binge-watch 12 seasons of TV in one weekend, but Prime Video just got the first dozen seasons of “Law & Order” creator Dick Wolf’s “Chicago P.D.” on January 1, and if you’re looking to ring in the New Year by adding a new long-term watch to your list, this police procedural could be the show for you.<\/p>\n

The second series from the “One Chicago” franchise, “Chicago P.D.,” premiered back in January 2014 and follows members from the Chicago Police Department’s 21st District and follows officers and members of Sergeant Hank Voight’s (Jason Beghe) elite Intelligence Unit as they tackle crime in the city.<\/p>\n

‘Fallout’ season 2<\/p>\n

I wouldn’t want to put out this list without acknowledging a Prime Video original, and while the streamer’s new January releases aren’t dropping until later in the month, we’re now three episodes into “Fallout” season 2<\/a>, and the hit video game adaptation<\/a> has proven to be a show worth continuing with.<\/p>\n

The new season picks up from where we left off, and continues to follow Lucy (Ella Purnell), Cooper Howard\/The Ghoul (Walton Goggins), and Maximus (Aaron Moten) as they continue their respective journeys across the post-apocalyptic nuclear Wasteland. In other words, if you’re not caught up just yet, you should seriously consider jumping on board as the series progresses (new episodes air on Wednesdays).<\/p>\n

Stream <\/strong>“Fallout” season 2 on Prime Video<\/strong><\/a> now<\/strong><\/p>\n

‘The Copenhagen Test’<\/p>\n

Peacock<\/a>‘s “The Copenhagen Test<\/a>” is an eight-part spy thriller that sees Chinese-American analyst, Alexander Hale (“Shang-Chi” star, Simu Liu), who discovers that his brain has been hacked, allowing those who’ve broken in access to everything he can see and hear. Caught between his top-secret agency, The Orphanage, and the mystery hackers, he has to try to maintain appearances at all times to flush out those responsible and to prove where his allegiance lies.<\/p>\n

The full season dropped on December 27, and it landed to decent reviews and an impressive 88% rating from viewers on Rotten Tomatoes. If spy thrillers are your thing, this could be a binge-watch worth investigating.<\/p>\n
