1.\u00a0Death toll rises to 13 in Austin-area flooding with over a dozen missing<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

At least 13 people are dead and multiple others are missing after heavy rainfall over the weekend that set off deadly flooding, according to Central Texas officials.<\/p>\n

A majority of the Central Texas flooding hit Kerr County, located about an hour north of San Antonio. As of Monday evening,\u00a0over 100 people have died\u00a0across the state due to flooding.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Reece\u00a0Zunker\u00a0and his wife Paula were among those who were killed in a flash flood in the Texas Hill Country over Fourth of July weekend,\u00a0Kerrville\u00a0ISD\u00a0officials said in a\u00a0Facebook\u00a0post. Reece worked at\u00a0Tivy\u00a0High School, where he was the head coach of the boys soccer team.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0Man with an assault rifle killed after shooting at a Border Patrol facility in Texas<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

A man with an assault rifle fired dozens of rounds at federal agents and a U.S. Border Patrol facility in South Texas on Monday, injuring a police officer, before authorities shot and killed him.<\/p>\n

Authorities say the man shot at agents exiting the building, which is near the U.S.-Mexico border.<\/p>\n
