PJ Harvey has been putting together her next album after wrapping up her most recent tour.<\/p>\n
The English indie rock legend, who completed her \u201cI Inside the Old Year Dying\u201d tour<\/a> in March 2025, has revealed her big plans for 2026. <\/p>\n \u201cThe two-year tour was such a wonderful experience to have been a part of, and I hugely enjoyed being able bring the music to life in a shared experience,\u201d Harvey wrote in an Instagram post<\/a> on Wednesday, Dec. 31. <\/p>\n \u201cSince then I have been writing songs for my next album and poems for my next book, which is a process that always surprises and challenges me, but one I realise I am committed to and love,\u201d she continued. \u201cI wish you a happy and peaceful year ahead, and thank you for your support.\u201d<\/p>\n The forthcoming project will mark Harvey\u2019s 11th studio album. Her last album, \u201cI Inside the Old Year Dying\u201d was released in 2023.<\/p>\n A multi-instrumentalist who is best known as a vocalist, guitarist and pianist, Harvey\u2019s catalog consists of numerous gold, silver and platinum-certified records in her native country. Three of her projects \u2014 \u201cRid of Me\u201d (1993), \u201cTo Bring You My Love\u201d (1995) and \u201cStories From the City, Stories From the Sea\u201d (2000) \u2014 appear on Rolling Stone\u2019s list of 500 Greatest Albums of All Time<\/a>.<\/p>\n Harvey is also the only artist<\/a> to have won the U.K.\u2019s prestigious Mercury Prize twice \u2014 once in 2001 and once in 2011. Harvey possesses eight Grammy nominations<\/a> and eight Brit Award nominations as well.<\/p>\n
