A teen is hospitalized with serious injuries after a Phoenix shooting, prompting police investigation into the incident near 7th and Garfield streets.<\/p>\n

PHOENIX \u2014 A teen was hospitalized after a shooting in Phoenix, the city’s police department said.<\/p>\n

Just after 10 p.m. Friday, officers responded to the area near 7th\u00a0and Garfield streets for reports of gunshots. As the officers arrived on scene, they reportedly found a teen boy with at least one gunshot wound. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Authorities said the teen was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The identity and condition of the boy were not immediately released. Detectives continue to investigate what led up to the shooting.<\/p>\n
