HOUSTON<\/strong> \u2013 Tuesday marks one year since Hurricane Beryl<\/a> ravaged the Greater Houston area, knocking out power to millions of homes.<\/a> <\/p>\n MOVING FORWARD:<\/b> $314 million in federal disaster relief could bring major housing aid to Houston<\/a><\/p>\n The windstorm caught several by surprise, testing people\u2019s patience<\/a> as the next morning, many of us had a pitch-black start to our commute. Some of us (like me<\/a>) didn\u2019t get power returned to our homes until the end of the week. <\/p>\n This was another blow for some residents who hadn\u2019t even fully recovered from the derecho in May<\/a>, where several people were killed and some folks were still waiting for debris to be cleaned up.<\/a><\/p>\n It certainly doesn\u2019t make things better that we\u2019re still reeling from lives lost in the Hill Country Floods<\/a>. <\/p>\n Have pictures from Beryl?
