{"id":490413,"date":"2026-01-03T22:44:18","date_gmt":"2026-01-03T22:44:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/490413\/"},"modified":"2026-01-03T22:44:18","modified_gmt":"2026-01-03T22:44:18","slug":"cause-of-collingdale-fire-remains-under-investigation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/490413\/","title":{"rendered":"Cause of Collingdale fire remains under investigation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Officials are investigating the cause of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.delcotimes.com\/2025\/12\/31\/crews-respond-to-macdade-boulevard-fire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New Year\u2019s Eve fire in Collingdale. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Crews were called 1220 McDade Blvd. about 3 p.m. for a building fire and arrived to find fire showing from a garage and smoke coming from the upper floor.<\/p>\n<p>Collingdale Fire Marshal Colin McCann said on Friday that the fire originated from the first floor, which he said was a storage facility for What A Crock, a subscription food service based in Brookhaven.<\/p>\n<p>A second floor apartment was also impacted, McCann said.<\/p>\n<p>Crews quickly placed multiple handlines into service and controlled the flames.
