Pe\u00f1a had been receiving specialized medical care since early December.<\/p>\n<p>Pe\u00f1a\u2019s custodial history spans multiple counties. He was arrested on April 22, 2025, on a charge of online solicitation of a minor involving sexual conduct. On November 4, he was transferred from Bexar County to Burnet County.<\/p>\n<p>Pe\u00f1a became ill on November 20, and was transported from the Burnet County Jail to a hospital. He again became ill on December 4 and was taken to a hospital a second time. Later that day, Pe\u00f1a was transferred from the Burnet County Jail to Methodist Hospital in San Antonio for specialized medical care, where he remained until his death.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"SAN ANTONIO &#8211; An inmate receiving medical treatment at a San Antonio hospital has died.
