A man has drowned<\/a> at a beach in Jervis Bay, south of Sydney.<\/p>\n

The 34-year-old man was one of multiple people who got into trouble at Greenpatch Beach at 4.45pm yesterday.<\/p>\n

ACT<\/a> and NSW Police<\/a>, as well as other emergency services were called, pulled him out and did CPR.<\/p>\n

However, he could not be revived, and he died at the scene.<\/p>\n

Three other people were attended to by paramedics, but none needed more medical attention.<\/p>\n

The death comes a day<\/a> after a man in his 50s died around 10 kilometres north of Jervis Bay.<\/p>\n

He was pulled from the water at Lobster Bay Beach in Shoalhaven and could not be revived.<\/p>\n

A Sydney<\/a> mother also drowned<\/a> at a beach on the NSW<\/a> Mid North Coast after trying to save her son.\"AMel Austin died on New Year’s Day trying to save her child. (9News)<\/p>\n

Mel Austin was swimming at Dunbogan Beach on New Year’s Day, when her child was caught in a rip.<\/p>\n

She herself then came into difficulty, and could not be saved by her husband, Joel.<\/p>\n

Five people have now drowned in beaches in New South Wales over the holiday period.<\/p>\n

Searches for two missing people in Sydney have now been called off.<\/p>\n

Authorities were searching for a 16-year-old boy who missing after a boat capsized at Palm Beach<\/a> on New Year’s Eve. A 47-year-old man died in the incident.<\/p>\n

On New Year’s Day, a \ufeff22-year-old Nepalese man Sushana Khadka was swept away at Coogee Beach, but has not been found.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A man has drowned at a beach in Jervis Bay, south of Sydney.
