SALT LAKE CITY \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>During a week in which multiple AP Top 10 teams lost, No. 8 TCU fell victim to the upset bug.

\nThe Horned Frogs suffered an 87-77 overtime loss at Utah on Saturday at the Jon M. Huntsman Center.
\n\u00a0
\nThe defeat was TCU’s first of the 2025-26 campaign and snapped the Frogs’ program record 14-game winning streak to start the season.
\n\u00a0
\nTCU led for more than 21 minutes in regulation and was up 67-64 with 22 seconds to go. Utah guard Lani White knocked down an off-balance 3-pointer with 10 seconds remaining to send the game to overtime.
\n\u00a0
\nTied 69-69 one minute into the extra frame, the Utes rattled off seven unanswered points over the ensuing 90 seconds. TCU never got within five the rest of the way.

\nUtah (11-4, 2-1 Big 12) knocked down 13 threes and shot 56 percent from distance. White tallied a team-high 25 points and was one of five Utes to score in double figures. Utah’s 67 points were the most TCU allowed in a game in regulation. The Horned Frogs had not surrendered 20 points in a period in the second half of a game up until overtime.

\nTrailing 64-60 at the 1:44 mark of the fourth, Marta Suarez<\/a> and Donovyn Hunter<\/a> drilled back-to-back 3-pointers to stake TCU to a two-point edge with 49 seconds to go. Forced to foul following a TCU defensive stop, the Utes sent Olivia Miles<\/a> to the line. Miles missed her first of two attempts at the line, though, opening the door for White’s heroics.

\nMiles paired a career-high 31 points with seven rebounds and seven assists. She racked up 16 points in the first half as TCU took a 39-34 lead into the locker room.

\nSuarez notched her fourth double-double of the season, as she finished with 23 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.

\nHunter pitched in 11 points while Clara Silva<\/a> netted 10 points and nine rebounds.

\nTCU shot a season-low 37 percent (28-75) from the field and managed just 10 field goals in the second half.

\nUtah took a 52-50 lead into the fourth quarter. A 7-0 run late in the frame nudged the Utes in front 63-58.

\nTCU received just two bench points \u2013 a midrange jumper from Veronica Sheffey<\/a> in the second quarter \u2013 compared to 23 for Utah.

\nThe Utes dished out 22 assists and outrebounded TCU 43-39.\u00a0\u00a0

\nTCU will play three of its next four games at home, beginning with a 6:30 p.m. tilt on Wednesday vs. Oklahoma State. The Cowgirls were one of only two Big 12 teams to defeat the defending league champion Horned Frogs last season. Since losing 60-59 to Oklahoma State on Jan. 22 in Stillwater, the Horned Frogs have competed to a 29-3 overall record.

\nTCU then hosts Arizona State and Arizona on Jan. 11 and Jan. 17, respectively, following Wednesday’s ballgame.
