That brief video, touting  the accomplishments of current U.S. President <strong>Donald Trump<\/strong>, is said to have used <strong>Linkin Park<\/strong>\u2018s 2003 single \u201c<strong>Somewhere I Belong<\/strong>\u201d as its soundtrack.<\/p>\n<p>The band\u2019s camp are reported to taken the steps to have the clip removed for the apparent unauthorized usage of their material. Interestingly, <strong>Linkin Park<\/strong> have encountered this issue several times prior, perhaps most infamously back in 2020 when they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theprp.com\/2020\/07\/18\/news\/linkin-park-file-cease-and-desist-after-u-s-president-donald-trump-shares-video-featuring-their-music\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">filed a cease and desist<\/a> against the <strong>Trump<\/strong> administration for the unauthorized usage of the band\u2019s diamond-certified 2000 single \u201c<strong>In The End<\/strong>\u201c. That song showed up in a <strong>Trump<\/strong> presidential campaign advertisement. At that time <strong>Linkin Park<\/strong> stated:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201c<strong>Linkin Park<\/strong> did not and does not endorse <strong>Trump<\/strong>, nor authorize his organization to use any of our music. A cease and desist has been issued.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Prior to his 2017 passing, former <strong>Linkin Park<\/strong> vocalist <strong>Chester Bennington<\/strong> made clear his views on President <strong>Trump<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theprp.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stating on social media<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cI repeat\u2026.. <strong>Trump<\/strong> is a greater threat to the USA than terrorism!! We have to take back our voices and stand for what we believe in\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Linkin Park<\/strong> don\u2019t appear to have publicly addressed this last video takedown, but <strong>Rock Feed<\/strong> reported below that a party associated with the group indicated that that they were \u201ctaking action\u201d against the video prior to its removal.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p>Fans are upset after the White House official account posted an end of year hype reel for President Trump using Linkin Park\u2019s \u201cSomewhere I Belong.\u201dLinkin Park fans immediately started calling it out, saying the band\u2019s music should not be used for political messaging like that.\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/aGIa11wTkI\">pic.twitter.com\/aGIa11wTkI<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Rock Feed ??
