SAN ANTONIO \u2014 A 21-year-old woman was critically injured in a wrong-way crash early Sunday at the intersection of North Foster Road and FM 78, according to San Antonio police.<\/p>\n
SAPD said officers were dispatched around 12:30 a.m. to a major accident at the intersection, where investigators said a 43-year-old man was traveling wrong way on FM 78 and struck the woman\u2019s vehicle head-on.<\/p>\n
Police said the woman was found unresponsive inside her vehicle with life-threatening injuries. She was transported to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment.<\/p>\n
The driver of the other vehicle was found with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. He was also taken to a local hospital where SAPD said officers evaluated him for signs of intoxication.<\/p>\n
San Antonio police are investigating the crash as an intoxication assault. No word on any possible charges at this time.<\/p>\n
The investigation remains ongoing and police said the information is preliminary and subject to change.<\/p>\n
