{"id":492372,"date":"2026-01-04T18:57:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-04T18:57:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/492372\/"},"modified":"2026-01-04T18:57:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-04T18:57:10","slug":"dallas-firefighters-respond-to-fire-at-oncor-substation-officials-say","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/492372\/","title":{"rendered":"Dallas firefighters respond to fire at Oncor substation, officials say"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to a large fire on Sunday at a Dallas Oncor substation, officials say. <\/p>\n<p>DALLAS \u2014 Firefighters responded to a major fire overnight at an Oncor substation, officials said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Firefighters responded to a call around 12:46 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, at an Oncor substation located at 2405 Sargent Road, Dallas Fire-Rescue said in a press release. The first companies to arrive on the scene reported lots of fire and a large plume of black smoke coming from the facility, officials said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Officials initially planned to allow the fire to burn out, but officials were able to work with Oncor representatives to deenergize the substation so companies could suppress the fire.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dallas Fire-Rescue called an Airport Rescue Firefighting unit to respond to the scene and apply foam to the fire, the release states. The department&#8217;s HazMat team was also dispatched to the location, and fire officials notified Dallas&#8217; stormwater department, the EPA, and the TCEQ.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The fire was largely put out around 11 a.m., officials said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>No Oncor customers were affected by the incident, the release states.
