The Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a> ended their regular season on a high note, as they\u00a0thoroughly dominated the division rival\u00a0Tennessee Titans<\/a>, scoring 41 points against\u00a0the struggling franchise, resulting in the team finishing with an impressive 13-4 record.<\/p>\n

The Jaguars are heading into the NFL<\/a> playoffs with the AFC South division crown, and the attention now turns to whether this team can sustain its newfound success in the postseason, with star quarterback\u00a0Trevor Lawrence<\/a> leading the way for Jacksonville.<\/p>\n

With the Jaguars defying the odds this season, a lot of the credit is going to Lawrence and first-year head coach Liam Coen, who has completely turned this football team around after a four-win season in 2024.<\/p>\n

After the blowout win over the Titans, Lawrence spoke to the media<\/a> and was asked what Coen has meant to him during the 2025 campaign.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, he\u2019s meant a lot to me,\u201d Lawrence said of Coen. \u201cJust our relationship has been really cool to see how we\u2019ve built that, and it\u2019s progressed, just the conversations we have really constantly throughout the week. It all started back in the spring, obviously when he first took the job, and building that relationship from the very beginning and having honest conversations with each other and things that \u2014 obviously the things, the good things that he saw in my game, but also the things I needed to improve, and we talked a lot about those things and got on the same page. Those were some great conversations, now looking back on it, where we could really start from the ground up and work on my game, work on this offense, put it together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lawrence clearly thinks highly of his new head coach, and that he should, as a case could be made that he has saved the career of the former No. 1 overall pick.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust to see the progression and to see the attention to detail from the coaching staff, not just Liam, but obviously it\u2019s led by him, just the attention to detail throughout the week in the game planning, feeling \u2014 the preparation on Sundays, feeling it come to life, and I think just stacking all those days and all those weeks now is why we\u2019re playing so much better offensively because sometimes it takes some time.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow we have so many reps, and really we\u2019re ready for whatever the defense throws at us. It\u2019s not always perfect, but it\u2019s been a fun progression. He\u2019s a helluva coach, and I\u2019m glad he\u2019s here in Jacksonville and very thankful for him.\u201d<\/p>\n

The true test for the Jaguars will take place next weekend, as they\u2019ll head into a tough playoff matchup with Josh Allen<\/a> and the Buffalo Bills<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Jaguars will return to the gridiron during Wild Card Weekend, where they will participate in one of three playoff games scheduled for Sunday, January 11. They will kick things off as the first two teams to play on Sunday at 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, according to ESPN\u2019s Adam Schefter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Schefter also provided a look at what the current playoff bracket looks like ahead of Wild Card Weekend.<\/p>\n

It\u2019ll be interesting to see whether the Jaguars can keep up their winning ways, as they have won eight straight games heading into this playoff matchup with the Bills.<\/p>\n
