Ryan Foster with San Diego Fire Rescue said.<\/p>\n<p>Lt. Foster and his team of 25 highly trained swift water rescue lifeguards are prepared to respond.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have units deployed strategically throughout the city to make sure the entire city is covered from the Tijuana River Valley to Mission Valley, Sorento Valley,\u201d Foster said. \u201cAny time the rain comes quickly, a large amount of rain, in a short amount of time, that\u2019s when we have the most flooding in the city of San Diego.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Just in the last week, Foster\u2019s team responded to 11 different flood water rescues.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the City of San Diego said City Crews responded to nearly 300 reports of flooding and other rain-related issues.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">City employees had a busy New Year&#8217;s Day, responding to nearly 300 reports of flooding and other rain-related issues. Emergency crews made several rescues. <\/p>\n<p>Use the Get It Done app to report rain-related issues or call 619-527-7500. <br \/>Call 911 for life-threatening emergencies. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/WlU76WtBdJ\">pic.twitter.com\/WlU76WtBdJ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 City of San Diego (@CityofSanDiego) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CityofSanDiego\/status\/2007270525261808071?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">January 3, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cTypically, people are driving through intersections that are flooded or going around signage that tells them not to drive through a certain area,\u201d Foster said.<\/p>\n<p>He said you should never attempt crossing a flooded road because you don\u2019t know how deep the water level may be.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAny flooded roadway is going to be a hazard to you our your family and so we\u2019re asking you to stop, turn around, and find an alternate route,\u201d Foster said.<\/p>\n<p>Lt.
