Michael B. J<\/a><\/strong>ordan<\/a><\/strong> knew he struck gold with Sinners.<\/p>\n

Indeed, the actor\u2014who pulled double duty starring as twins Smoke and Stack in Ryan Coogler<\/strong>\u2019s 2025 horror film\u2014shared that he had a moment where he realized that working on the film was a rare and special experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s one of those things where you all get on set and everybody is collectively doing the work together and everybody\u2019s vibing off one another,\u201d he told Daryn Carp<\/strong> during an exclusive interview with E! News at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards<\/a> alongside castmates Delroy Lindo<\/strong>, Miles Caton<\/strong>, Francine Maisler<\/strong>, Wunmi Mosaku<\/strong> and Omar Benson Miller<\/strong> on Jan. 4. \u201cAnd it\u2019s a family environment.\u201d<\/p>\n

For Michael\u2014whose film took home awards for Best Casting & Ensemble, Best Original Screenplay and Best Score\u2014his hope is that the magic lives on with audiences.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou kind of know you have something that\u2019s honest,\u201d he explained. \u201cAnd then hopefully that keeps up traction after the movie is long and done and over with.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cBut we\u2019re just really grateful and happy that everybody still loves the work that we\u2019ve done.\u201d<\/p>\n

Indeed, leading the film as not one, but two leading men, brought another element worth celebrating.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love them both equally,\u201d the 38-year-old told E! News. \u201cThey\u2019re both characters that are going to live with me for the rest of my life and I\u2019m so happy that I got the honor to play both Smoke and Stack.\u201d<\/p>\n

And for Delroy, he took note of the film’s potential impact even before filming.<\/p>\n

\u201cI recognized something special from the time that I read the script,\u201d the 73-year-old said. \u201cI did not know that it would be responded to like this, but I knew that it was something very particular and special from the very first read.\u201d<\/p>\n
