MIDDLEBURG, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 A Middleburg High School culinary teacher and small business owner lost thousands of dollars worth of equipment and personal items last week when a fire destroyed her storage facility.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt unfortunately destroyed everything for my catering business, future home, and family memorabilia,\u201d Sierra Mooney said.<\/p>\n

The fire consumed Mooney\u2019s collection of professional catering equipment and supplies she had accumulated over more than a decade of business operations including charcuterie boards, drink dispensers, chafing dishes, food warmers, and decorations used for weddings, baby showers, and graduations, according to a GoFundMe set up for Mooney<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The fundraiser titled \u201cRebuild Sierra\u2019s Culinary Dreams After the Fire<\/a>\u201d said Mooney serves as a volleyball coach, mentoring young athletes at both the high school and club levels.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe will give the shirt off her back, without question, to anyone in need,\u201d Audrey Shaw, the GoFundMe organizer said in a statement seeking community support through the online fundraising campaign.<\/p>\n

Community members have come together to support Mooney in the fundraiser. So far, it has raised over $5,000 to help Mooney rebuild her business. <\/p>\n

\u201cI am now asking that we as a community, ban together, to show up for her the same way she has selflessly shown up for so many others,\u201d Shaw said in the description for the fundraiser.<\/p>\n
