{"id":495308,"date":"2026-01-06T00:56:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-06T00:56:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/495308\/"},"modified":"2026-01-06T00:56:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-06T00:56:10","slug":"the-daily-show-touts-2025-ratings-success","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/495308\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018The Daily Show\u2019 Touts 2025 Ratings Success"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/the-daily-show\/\" id=\"auto-tag_the-daily-show\" data-tag=\"the-daily-show\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Daily Show<\/a> is back from its winter hiatus tonight and it\u2019s going into the show with some wind in its sails.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn 2025, the <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/comedy-central\/\" id=\"auto-tag_comedy-central\" data-tag=\"comedy-central\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Comedy Central<\/a> show scored its highest-rated year since 2020 among people aged between 18 and 49 and landed its biggest share since 2015.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe show, which is hosted by <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/jon-stewart\/\" id=\"auto-tag_jon-stewart\" data-tag=\"jon-stewart\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jon Stewart<\/a>, Ronny Chieng, Josh Johnson, Michael Kosta, Jordan Klepper and Desi Lydic, saw 16% growth in ratings in the 18-49 demo between 2024 and 2025. Per Nielsen, it went from an average of 0.366% to 0.423%.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn terms of share, this grew by 25% in the same period from a 2.2 to a 2.76.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe company said that on Monday nights, which are hosted by Stewart, who recently signed another one-year to remain through 2026, it was the number one late-night cable show among the 18-34 and 18-49 demos. There aren\u2019t a great deal of others apart from Bravo\u2019s Watch What Happens Live.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThese numbers shouldn\u2019t come as a huge surprise given that in June, <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/07\/the-daily-show-ratings-high-1236455303\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the network touted the fact that in the second quarter of 2025, it landed its best quarterly share<\/a> since the third quarter of 2015.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe Daily Show also had its best year ever when it comes to social views. It reached 6.7B views, per the company, which it said was up 72%, while engagements were up 45% to 418.8M and total minutes consumed rose 44% to 11.2B.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tStewart returns to host the show tonight with Senator Mark Kelly joining for an interview. Kelly could see a reduction in his retirement rank and military pension after Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth started administrative actions against him following comments to remind those serving that they should refuse illegal orders.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tChieng will host the rest of the week with guests including No Other Choice director Park Chan-wook, Freakonomics\u2019 Stephen J.
