In light of this, I have decided to conclude my time touring with Marilyn Manson<\/b> to focus on my artist, film, and television projects.<\/p>\n“I have enjoyed every minute working and performing with my bandmates, Gil Sharone<\/b>, Reba Meyers<\/b>, and Matt<\/b> (Piggy D<\/b>) Montgomery<\/b>. They are stellar humans on and off stage. I will miss performing with them for the incredible audiences we met around the planet in support of ‘One Assassination Under God: Chapter One’<\/b>.<\/p>\n
“I’m stepping away, but I will be actively supporting the upcoming release of ‘Chapter Two’<\/b>, my fourth album with Manson<\/b>, which I believe is our finest work together.<\/p>\n

The follow-up to 2020’s “We Are Chaos”, <\/b>“One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1”<\/b> featured Bates<\/b> on guitar, bass, guitarviol and keyboards, and former THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN<\/b> member Gil Sharone<\/b> on drums. <\/p>\n
Joining <\/b>Manson<\/b>, Bates<\/b> and Sharone<\/b> in the singer’s most recent touring band were CODE ORANGE<\/b> guitarist Reba Meyers<\/b> and former ROB ZOMBIE<\/b> bassist Matt Montgomery<\/b> (a.k.a. Piggy D.<\/b>).<\/p>\n
Bates<\/b>, a film composer best known for his scores for such blockbusters as “Atomic Blonde”<\/b> and “John Wick”<\/b> and “Guardians Of The Galaxy”<\/b> flicks, originally met Manson<\/b> through his work on the Showtime<\/b> series “Californication”<\/b>.<\/p>\n
Asked in a 2020 interview with MusicTech<\/b> what the parallels are between the long and punishing hours of film composition and performing live with artists such as Marilyn Manson<\/b>, Tyler<\/b> said: “There’s nothing like walking out in front of 50,000 people and playing, especially if it’s music you\u2019ve written. I’ve had the opportunity to do that with Marilyn Manson<\/b>, which was a lot of fun. The immediacy of live performance is not remotely similar [to film scoring]. However, over the years, having played so many concerts both on my own and in my band, it has definitely honed my improvisational skills.”<\/p>\n
