The company\u2019s products play an essential role in everyday life, Berkshire Hathaway noted, \u201csupporting critical applications in water treatment, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, manufacturing, automotive, personal hygiene, and residential and commercial construction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Omaha, Nebraska-based Berkshire Hathaway and its subsidiaries engage in a range of business activities including insurance and reinsurance, utilities and energy, freight rail transportation, manufacturing, retailing and services.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t miss what\u2019s next.
