Olivia Rodrigo <\/a>seems to be teasing something ahead of the five-year anniversary of her breakout single, \u201cDrivers License,\u201d with the pop star changing up her website<\/a> to display a cryptic submission form on Monday (Jan. 5).<\/p>\n

Rather than Rodrigo\u2019s usual webpage, her site now simply shows a faux driver\u2019s license renewal application from the \u201cDepartment of Driving Home 2 U\u201d that prompts fans to share their emails for future updates. The \u201cappointment information\u201d section of the virtual document teases that something will happen at 9 a.m. PT on Jan. 8 \u2014 exactly five years after \u201cDrivers License\u201d first dropped in 2021.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also a tribute to the release date of Rodrigo\u2019s debut album, Sour, on the form, which records the \u201cfile number\u201d as \u201c05212021.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s hard to believe that it\u2019s been a half decade since the California native shot to superstardom with \u201cDrivers License,\u201d which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100<\/a> and spent a total of eight weeks atop the chart. Rodrigo would go on to score her second No. 1 hit with \u201cGood 4 U\u201d in May 2021, the same week she dropped five-week Billboard 200<\/a>-topper Sour. At the 2022 Grammys, she won best pop vocal album for the LP and best pop solo performance for its lead single.<\/p>\n

Rodrigo has released just one album since, dropping Guts in 2023. Fans were eager for more material in 2025, but the High School Musical: The Musical: The Series alum hasn\u2019t shared any new songs since the five she added to the deluxe version of Guts in March 2024. She did, however, release a live album, Live from Glastonbury (A BBC Recording), on Dec. 5.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s not to say she hasn\u2019t been writing, though. \u201cWriting songs is really therapeutic for me, so I\u2019m always noodling around making stuff even when I\u2019m not in the studio making an album,\u201d she told Billboard<\/a> in 2024 amid her Guts World Tour, which wrapped the following summer. \u201cI\u2019m trying not to put too much pressure on anything right now.\u201d<\/p>\n
